SPECIALIZED HIGH SCHOOL ADMISSIONS TEST Brooklyn Tech administers the Specialized High School Admissions Test (SHSAT) usually in late October for eighth graders, and early November for ninth graders and students with special accommodations. FALL 2017 SHSAT Schedule
Admissions tickets are mailed to all public, private and parochial schools and should be available based upon your school's distribution schedule. See your guidance counselor for an admissions ticket. Brooklyn Tech DOES NOT provide admissions tickets to individuals, only to schools directly. STUDENT HANDBOOK 2012-2013 The Bronx High School of Science The Brooklyn Latin School Brooklyn Technical High School High School for Mathematics, Science and Engineering at the City College High School of American Studies at Lehman College Queens High School for the Sciences at York College Staten Island Technical High School. In December 2016, the Ohio General Assembly passed House Bill 410 to encourage and support a preventative approach to excessive absences and truancy. Beginning with the 2017‐2018 school year, several changes take effect. Schools cannot suspend or expel students for missing too much school. FALL 2017 SHSAT Schedule. 8th Graders: October 21 - 22, 2017. 9th Graders: October 29, 2017. 8th and 9th Grade Special Accommodations Students (IEP/504/ELL): October 29, 2017 or November 4, 2017. Students new to NYC: End of Summer 2018.
